In a remarkable demonstration of compassion, community service, and social responsibility, Foodbank Naija in collaboration with Evangelist Leke Ogundimu Word Outreach (ELOWO Foundation) has announced the “Feed My Sheep for Widows” Free Food Outreach, a major humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting widows and vulnerable families with essential food supplies.
The outreach is scheduled to take place during the ELOWO Crusade on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 8:00 PM at Agege Stadium, Lagos. The event forms part of the activities marking the 4th Anniversary Celebration of ELOWO Foundation and aligns with its longstanding commitment to serving humanity through faith-driven charitable interventions.

The initiative seeks to provide food relief to widows and economically disadvantaged individuals, helping to alleviate the burden of rising living costs while demonstrating practical love and care within the community. Beneficiaries will receive food items and household essentials generously made available through the partnership between Foodbank Naija and ELOWO Foundation.

Speaking on the significance of the outreach, the organizers emphasized that the programme is inspired by the biblical mandate to care for the less privileged, particularly widows, who often face significant social and economic challenges.

“This outreach is more than a food distribution programme; it is a message of hope, dignity, and compassion. Through this initiative, we aim to ensure that widows and vulnerable members of society feel valued, supported, and remembered,” the organizers stated.

The event is expected to attract thousands of worshippers, community members, volunteers, and beneficiaries from different parts of Lagos and beyond. In addition to the food outreach, attendees will experience a powerful atmosphere of worship, prayer, and spiritual impartation during the crusade.

Foodbank Naija, known for its dedication to combating hunger and food insecurity across Nigeria, continues to expand its impact through strategic partnerships with corporate, governmental, and faith-based organizations and community groups The collaboration with ELOWO Foundation represents another significant step toward addressing hunger and improving the welfare of vulnerable populations.
Members of the public, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals are encouraged to support the initiative through donations and sponsorships to help reach more beneficiaries and extend the impact of the programme.
