At FoodBank Naija, we believe that no one should go to bed hungry. This September, our Kogi Sub-Committee is gearing up for a transformative outreach program aimed at bringing food, hope, and empowerment to underserved communities in Kogi State.
Why This Outreach Matters
Hunger remains a critical issue in Nigeria, with millions struggling to afford even one meal a day. In Kogi State, many families—especially in rural areas—face severe food insecurity due to economic hardship, climate challenges, and limited access to resources.
This outreach is more than just a food distribution drive—it’s a movement of compassion, designed to:
✔ Provide immediate relief to starving families.
✔ Empower women and youth with skills training.
✔ Educate communities on nutrition and sustainable farming.
✔ Restore dignity by showing people they are not forgotten.
What to Expect in September
Our Kogi FoodBank Naija team has planned a series of impactful activities, including:
1. Food Distribution Drive
-
Target Locations: Rural communities in Kogi State identified as most vulnerable.
-

✔ Free health checks (blood pressure, malaria tests).

4. School Feeding Initiative
We’ll be visiting primary schools in remote areas to:
-
Provide meals for pupils (many of whom come to school hungry).
-
Donate educational materials (books, pencils, school bags).
How You Can Be Part of This Life-Changing Outreach
We can’t do this alone. Your support—whether through time, resources, or advocacy—will determine how many lives we can touch.

Food packing & distribution
