We seek the collaboration of the Federal and State Governments to enhance food security by providing access to government-owned or controlled facilities, logistics, and delivery support systems suitable for food banking initiatives. Additionally, we invite capital investment in FOODBANK NAIJA Initiative programs and the development of Local Government Area (LGA) FOODBANK NAIJA Projects.

The Government can further support FOODBANK NAIJA by funding the hiring and management of staff to assist committed and qualified communities in establishing FOODBANK NAIJA. We also request assistance in securing operational facilities for LGA, where available and appropriate.

The Nigerian entertainment industry is indeed large, as it intersects globally with many countries home to Nigerian and African descendants. FOODBANK NAIJA Initiative is looking to find opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders in the entertainment industry and influencers, to bring attention to some of the many crucial issues relating to hunger that exists in Nigeria. From actors, athletes, musicians to writers, directors, producers - many organizations can participate.

FOODBANK NAIJA believes that through concerted efforts, additional strides can be made towards a hunger-free Nation.

Apart from taking care of the immediate needs of our targeted beneficiaries, we also welcome other forms of partnerships with individuals and corporate bodies to do the following:

  1. Drill Boreholes/well with pump with filters or water treatment in one or more under-served communities.
  2. Donate Solar powered equipment like rechargeable lamps and bulbs.
  3. Refurbish: Public Schools toilets, libraries or give out educational materials like school bags, books and shoes to needy school children
  4. Fund School fees or scholarship for needy children in the slum communities
  5. Adopt or put a poor family on food scholarship for 6months for periodic food collection from the FOODBANK NAIJA.
  6. Donations of medical equipment such as eye glasses, mobility aids such as wheel chairs clutches to individuals living with disabilities, breast pads for breast-feeding mothers
  7. Provision of educational materials to children with special needs.
  8. Clearing hospital bills for the poor in some general hospitals.
  9. Provision of Sanitary pads for girls/ Promotion of sexual health and Prevention of STDs awareness campaign and provision of condoms.
  10. Distribute nutritional supplements to Pregnant Women to sustain them through the pregnancy period.
  11. Set up small scale enterprises for widows and extremely poor women In Lagos slums and sponsorship for skills acquisition.
  12. Distribute Mosquito Nets to vulnerable Families living in the slum.
  13. Clean up slums and distribute waste bins for a sustainable and healthy environment
  14. Distribute Cooking Stoves to families in the slums
  15. Distribute post-delivery kits to nursing mothers.
  16. Provide lunch in the form of food vouchers to underprivileged children in different public schools for 3-6 months. The food vendors at schools are paid in advance.
  17. Send teenage girls to skill acquisition training and empowerment.
  18. Distribute clothes to the slum families. Second-hand clothes are purchased at a very cheap price from a local market and given to children and their parents in the slum.
